About us

Who we are

INTRODUCTION

Tsinde Eco Empower is a Malawian registered startup under the Government of Malawi Companies Act (Cap. 46:03) as a Private Limited by Guarantee. It is on a mission to revolutionize waste management through sustainable and circular economy solutions. We are building a green and social innovation hub, fostering eco-friendly initiatives that empower communities and drive real change.

Lilongwe alone generates over 500 metric tons of waste daily, with more than 80% of it being recyclable or compostable, yet much of it ends up in overflowing landfills or illegal dumpsites. The city’s main landfill, Area 38 dumpsite, is rapidly nearing capacity, posing severe environmental and health  impacts. At Tsinde Eco Empower, we see this not just  a climate and environmental crisis—but as an opportunity to do good and generate socio-economic co-benefits.

Through strategic partnerships, innovative recycling, and community-driven action, we are transforming waste into resources. From biogas and compost production to eco-friendly products like briquettes and washable diapers, we are redefining sustainability in Malawi.
